Work on
a Farm
As you may have heard New Zealand has a strong
farming industry - there are about 40 million sheep thats 12 to
every person! Well theres also dairy farming and many new lifestyle
organic farms which are looking for willing helpers. There are two
main orgainsations that can help you find out what farm life is

Experience one of your
Dreams New Zealand has many activities
that people only dream of doing. Heres a list of stuff you can do
in NZ without any previous experience:
- Watch whales in their natural environment
- Go swimming in the ocean with dolphins or kayak with them
- Go helihiking on a glacier and walk through ice tunnels

Do Something Crazy
New Zealand is known as the adrenalin activity
of the world -who do you think invented the bungee jump?! Here's
a list of some of the mad things you can get up to:
Bungee Jump (!) - large,
small, tandem, bridge, canyon, ledge...
Fly by Wire - attach yourself to a rocket suspended
over a canyon
Zorbing - Put yourself in a human sized hamster
ball then set off down a hill (see pic!)
Fox wire - Scrabble across a canyon attached to
a wire
Skydiving - jump out of a plane up to 15,000 ft
high
Black and white water rafting - Many different
grades even in caves
River Boarding - body board + white water rapids
- you get the picture
Jet Boating -
high speed down rapids

Do a Hike
Not think walking is your thing? Well you may change your mind when
you see what's available! How about walking across live volcanic areas
or along white sand beaches. You've seen Lord of the Rings - that
wasn't computer graphics its how New Zealand really looks! (minus
the dwarfs etc!) How about doing the Dart Track and wandering through
Issengard or walking/kayaking the Abel Tasman with cystal clear waters
and white sand coves. |

How about Snowboarding/ Skiiing
New Zealand has some of the best snow in the
southern hemisphere. Why not learn to ski or snowboard while you're
