Are there any music festivals in New Zealand?

Certainly are! Every January the biggest Australasian music festival, the Big Day Out, comes to Auckland. This two day event has some great bands as well as lots of local Kiwi talent for you to check out. For example, in 2006 The White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, The Magic Numbers and The Subways hit the stage. The event lasts for 2 days.
